The City of Golden Friendship once again flourished with visitors as PICE held their 34th National Convention within the week. Almost all hotel rooms are occupied, which led the couple to wait for their room to be vacated. The dilemma… wedding ceremony will start at 2PM while the two lovebirds will have their room at around 12:30PM.

Believing that God has blessed them on this day, Bronson and Debie did their part and enjoying the moment as they prepared for the wedding. There was an instance when the Maid of Honor declared she couldn’t find the arrhae and the ring.  It took them a while to find it, yet the bride seemed worriless about it.

At the end of the day, the couple was filled with love as great surprises came out during the reception. God is good, whom He had blessed will always receive the best :)

The wedding of Doods and Khakai was truly blessed… and the grace even extended to those who attended the ceremony. Rev. Joel Ortiz revealed to the couple about the 3 gifts of marriage - the gift of HAPPINESS, HEALTH, and HOLINESS. All we need to uncover the gifts is using the owner’s manual - the BIBLE.

Rev. Joel expounded, “It is not true love that sustains marriage, it is indeed marriage that sustains the love.” God, as the creator of marriage, blessed us to have a happy beginning, a happier journey, and a joyous ending. Even I who heard the message was blessed enough to discover such precious gifts :D

The wedding of Steve and Onel came to us as a surprise… a 15-minute blessing ceremony, an hour (or less) reception duration, and a fast music of Scouting for Girls (one of the groom’s rock band fave) all wrapped up like a basketball Finals. We felt like it’s the last two minutes of the game and everything is crucial. Thank God we’re able to beat the buzzer… and hit the 3 points! :)

Our gratitude to Prof Org staff for a great planning and coordination… and most of all, to the couple for the opportunity and cooperation. As the day unfolds, we’ve witnessed how happy Stephen and Onelia, as well as their family and relatives, as if winning the championship series.

Viva La Nuestra

The Canonical Erection of
Nuestra Señora Virgen del Rosario Parish
Consolacion, Cagayan de Oro City

“Witnessing a canonization of a chapel into a parish is not just an honor, but a grace bestowed upon God’s people. It is a celebration as well as an appropriate occasion to remember with gratitude all those who labored selflessly for the development of the church. A Parish is first and foremost a community, and to this end each parishioner has a commitment to be a missionary.” These are just some of the words from Archbishop Ledesma which struck me most.

As for me, I had witnessed a rare occasion in the Catholic Church and privileged enough to see the consistency of God’s faithfulness to His people. It is by grace that I attended the Eucharistic Celebration as the Diocese of Cagayan de Oro aptly christened the said parish. With these, I am twice blessed :)

Viva la Nuestra Señora Virgen del Rosario!
